CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates. CASAs are specially screened and trained volunteers who advocate for the best interests of abused, neglected, and vulnerable children, amplify their voice in court, and support them on their paths toward a permanent home. Our vison is for all vulnerable children referred by the Worcester County courts to receive the services and support of a CASA Advocate to help them maximize growth and minimize harm, enabling them to thrive in a safe, healthy, and stable environment. Children supported by CASA are far more likely to find safe, permanent homes, and half as likely to re-enter foster care. They also receive better wraparound services and perform better in school, increasing their likelihood to graduate and become successful and functional adults.
